Purpose and Values

Purpose Statement:

Our purpose is to love God, love people, and lead people to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

 Foundational Values:

We are committed to the following foundational values to accomplish God’s Will – Nothing More, Nothing Less, Nothing Else:

  1. A Commitment to Worship – Dynamic and creative worship honors God, builds community, cultivates spiritual growth, celebrates salvation, and calls us to mission.  Psalm 95:1-6, John 4:23-24

  2. A Commitment to Prayer – Prayer is essential to seeking God’s will and direction. Philippians 4:6

  3. A Commitment to Discipleship – The Bible is the basis for knowing Christ, and is the foundation for our vision, values, teaching, and actions. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.  Providing care, encouraging spiritual growth, and reaching people occur best through Sunday School and other small groups. Hebrews 10:24-25

  4. A Commitment to Ministry – Each believer has spiritual gifts that should be used for ministry. Our church will help the believer discover what those gifts are and how to use them. I Corinthians 12:4-6, Matthew 20:26-28

  5. A Commitment to Fellowship – We love the Lord our God and love our neighbor as ourselves.  Matthew 22:37-39

  6. A Commitment to Missions – All people are important to God and we show His love by meeting physical and spiritual needs locally, nationally, and globally. Matthew 25:35-36

  7. A Commitment to Evangelism – Sharing the saving grace of Jesus to unreached people is every believer’s privilege and responsibility. Matthew 28:19
Our Foundational Values will be supported by our commitments to spiritual growth, stewardship, and unity.
  1. A Commitment to Spiritual Growth – Christ expects each of us to grow in our faith, joy, and love. Ephesians 4:15-16

  2. A Commitment to Stewardship – God’s work is sustained by the return of at least a tithe (10%) of our God-given resources of time, talents, and money. Psalm 96:8

  3. A Commitment to Unity – We are spiritually united in mission while open to change in the methods to accomplish that mission. Philippians 2:1-2
