Where I Grew Up:

I am originally from Mohawk, TN, which is in rural Western Greene County. Tennessee. However, due to my father’s job I spent several years, including high school and college in Mullins and Marion, South Carolina. I returned to Tennessee in 1983 to work on my Master’s Degree and begin work as an educator. While doing so, I became reacquainted with childhood friends, one of which became my wife.

Education:

High School Diploma – Pee Dee Academy (1977)

Bachelor of Science Degree – Francis Marion College (1981)

Master’s of Arts in Teaching – East Tennessee State University (1984)

Doctor of Education – East Tennessee State University (1996)

Spouse:

Vanessa Jones Ailshie

Children:

Tracie Ailshie Neas. Husband – Tyler Neas. Children – Harper, Ainsley, and Jett. Greeneville, TN

Hilary Ailshie Wolfe. Husband – Andrew Wolfe. Children – Tucker and Hunter. DeRidder, LA

Karli Ailshie. Senior at the University of Tennessee

Why FBC KPT?:

I was looking for something to do after retiring from a wonderful career as an educator. Many of the responsibilities I have are similar to those I had as a school, district, or state administrator. My hope is that my experience is a positive for the church. My father, Rev. Glenn Ailshie, was a bi-vocational minister for almost 50 years and I know he would be pleased that I am doing more to advance Christ’s Kingdom.
