An Encouraging Word From Marvin

Thank you for again confirming what I already know about you! A tremendous number of you responded to help with a ministry to those affected by Alzheimer’s. As of today I am not sure what form it will take. I will be scheduling a meeting of all who volunteered as soon as possible so we can begin making a difference in the lives of those who are hurting, whether they are patients or caregivers.

I am honored to tell you that Cookie Greer has agreed to begin working as our Interim Minister of Children and Activities upon Robyn’s retirement at the end of February. Cookie has a wealth of experience as an educator of children. Of even greater importance is her love for children. She will keep the wonderful ministry that Robyn has done so well going in the coming weeks and months. Thanks, Cookie, for joining us.

Speaking of Robyn’s excellent ministry, we will be celebrating it on a Wednesday evening to be announced later this week. I know you will want to express your gratitude to Robyn for all of her service to our church.

Sunday we will conclude our “I Quit…” sermon series as we think about how we can quit playing favorites. I look forward to seeing you then!
