An Encouraging Word from Marvin

I want to say “thanks” to some very special people this week. First, to all those who worked so hard to make our Thanksgiving meal a success again this year. Ardie Ardemagni and his team did a fantastic job in every area of the work. Three of our staff people went the extra mile, giving up their day to help make this happen. Richard Wells, Katrina Wells and Bradley Noe deserve our “thanks” for a great job all day long. To all who helped in any way, “thanks” for a job well-done.

Also, if you were in our 11 AM service you heard wonderful music from a variety of musicians beginning with our Little Treble Makers, the four-year olds of our church. Elizabeth and Bret Beach and Ronda Gentry did a superb job kicking off Advent with a smile. Sounds of Faith did their usual great job. Norris and Donna Sneed added their gifts on the harp and piano to make for a special time of worship.

This Sunday we continue our Advent theme, “What Can I Give Him?” We will look to the gifts of the shepherds. You will remember that unlike the Wise Men, they didn’t bring tangible gifts, but they brought gifts nonetheless. Let’s think about those this Sunday. I look forward to seeing you then,

Marvin Cameron
