An Encouraging Word from Marvin
Our Youth were terrific on Sunday, weren’t they? From those who sang, prayed, spoke and led in communion and other portions of the service were magnificent. It is so affirming to see them grow up, isn’t it? Whether they have been here all their lives or have come to us in more recent years, each of them adds much to our fellowship. Thanks to all who participated!
Sunday evening was one of the most special times we have experienced in a long time. We ordained 10 new deacons. It was a celebration of grace and love. I hope you were with us. Whether you were or were not, join me in praying for all of our new deacons and those who are either continuing or joining the deacon body this year.
This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. It is also the day of our annual Youth-Staff game. We will meet at 3 PM in the gym for a time of fun and fellowship. Come join us before the big game!
Sunday we return to our conversations about Overcoming. This week we will consider how to Overcome Guilt. Some of us may have carried guilt for decades. The good news is that God doesn’t want us to carry guilt. Let’s think together Sunday on how we can rid ourselves of the albatross of guilt.
I look forward to seeing you as we gather to worship our Lord,
