An Encouraging Word from Marvin
This Sunday we will continue our thoughts about how we will measure our lives by thinking about this question: “Am I in it for the Long Haul?” So many of you in our congregation have answered this question affirmatively for years. I am amazed at the faithfulness of many of you who have been doing important work in our church for decades. You quietly and faithfully go about your tasks with a joy that has been burning brightly for years. I hope you know of our gratitude to you for all you mean to our church and our Lord’s work.
Sunday we will gather around the Lord’s table as we celebrate communion. Come prepared to reflect on the gift of our Lord to each of us as he “gave his life as a ransom for many.” We will do the same thing on Sunday afternoon as we gather at 5 PM for the Church Circle Thanksgiving service. Be sure to stay after the service for the annual pie fellowship which will take place in our Atrium.
I hope you understand my appreciation for you and your faithfulness in worship, stewardship and service. You are a great fellowship who makes a difference in lives in our city and around the world everyday. Thanks for letting me serve alongside you,
