FBC offers 2 different tutoring options in which you can participate.  Please read below to find out about each of these.

 

FBC 6th Grade Math Tutoring

We tutor 6th-grade Sevier students in Math on Tuesdays from 3 – 4 pm. Tutors need to be at the church Fellowship Hall by 2:40 so you can get any instructions needed from Pam Davis. She is the “tutor for the tutors!” You will be working one-on-one with a student unless we have a tutor absent and we have to double up on students.

FBC 3rd Grade Reading Tutoring

On Thursdays, we tutor 3rd grade Jackson students in Reading and Reading Skills from 3:20 – 4:30.  Tutors need to be at the church Fellowship Hall by 3:10 to get any instructions that you need from Teli Marshall.  She is the “tutor for the tutors”!  You will be working one-on-one with a student unless we have a tutor absent and we have to double up on students.

If you are interested in being part of the FBC Tutoring Ministry this fall please do the following 2 things:

1) First, please click the Application Button below and complete the form.

  2) The second thing is to fill out a form for a Background Check.  Our church’s policy is that anyone working with children in any FBC Program must go through a Background Check.  
 
The Background Check button below will take you to the form to be filled out and submitted.  If you have not done a background check through the church since Jan. 1, 2019, please fill this form out and submit it. Marjorie will be contacted so that you are cleared to be part of our ministry team.
